Location and Access

Pawson's Meadow is south of Spilsby. Access is via a footpath from Peasgate Lane, Toynton All Saints.


Description and Management

Pawson's Meadow is on a sandy outcrop on the edge of the Wolds with views over the Fens to the south. The south facing sandstone bank is topped with scrub and a tall herb community, with bramble and grassland belwo the bank.

It is an excellent habitat for butterflies including meadow brown, ringlet and gatekeeper. Whitethroat nest in the scrub.
