Wildlife Watch

Wildlife Watch is the junior branch of The Wildlife Trusts and the UK's leading environmental action club for kids. If you care about nature and the environment and want to explore your local wildlife - this is the club for YOU!

Taking part in Wildlife Watch is an exciting way to explore your surroundings and get closer to the wildlife you share it with.

Wildlife Watch members receive loads of exciting wildlife goodies throughout the year.
You'll receive a starter pack containing:

  • 60 page colour booklet
  • badge
  • large wildlife poster
  • membership card and more ....

You'll also receive four issues of Wildlife Watch magazine a year. This is packed full of amazing pictures, puzzles, competitions and you get a free pull out wildlife poster with each issue.

We also have a really wild website (www.wildlifewatch.org.uk) and a monthly e-newsletter full of wild ideas and nature-spotting tips. Members also get to find out about local events and activities, plus you get access to our network of groups in Lincolnshire and receive our local newsletter "Cool of the Wild".
The subscription costs £17 for up to four children living at one address, or you can join Wildlife Watch as part of a Wildlife Trust family membership.

And the best thing about being a member is that by joining Wildlife Watch you'll be helping the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust to care for our wildlife! Isn't that great?

Adults - Become a Leader

A national network of local Wildlife Watch groups covers most of the UK. Each one is run by a volunteer, perhaps someone like yourself. A typical Wildlife Watch leader is someone who enjoys working with children, is enthusiastic and concerned about wildlife and the environment, and enjoys being out of doors. No specialist knowledge is required.

If you feel you would like to start a group in your area, we are here to help you. We will provide:

  • a Leader's Pack covering a wide range of facts, from wildlife information to fund raising techniques;
  • LINK magazine - specially produced four times a year to update you on current events, news and ideas for activities;
  • advance notice of all projects or news;
  • low-cost training courses to help you run a group;
  • special access to nature reserves in some areas;
  • full public liability insurance.

Once you have been registered, all materials and services are provided free. But you may prefer to help an existing group. By doing this you will find out more about how Wildlife Watch works, and what fun it can be. Adult helpers are always welcome as a useful extra pair of hands. Contact us to find out more.
